Rock Prodigy (http://rockprodigy.com/get-the-app/) Customized to user’s skill level; real-time feedback; learn chords, scales, rhythm, technique, and theory; structured courses organized in a daily calendar; learn from teachers trained at Musicians Institute; lessons and songs are set within a teaching system developed by Dr. Richard Gard of Yale University; checks to see what user already knows; practice skills; focused on the goal of making music; Challenges decide when user should skip some lessons; structured exercises develop strong fingers, technique, and quick reflexes; exercises inside of music games to develop hand-eye coordination; teaches important concepts and skills that help users play hundreds of songs; listens to every note; provides immediate feedback; awards points for playing correctly; tracks progress automatically; pitch detection technology; about five minutes each lesson; for guitar input with an acoustic guitar, need an internal or external computer microphone; for electric guitar input, need an adapter like iRig or Apogee Jam, or an amp loud enough for the device’s microphone to pick up; headphones recommended when using an acoustic guitar; (iOS 7.0 or later).
