Today's app is the ChordGen app:

​ChordGen Chord progression generator; generate chord progressions with the root note of choice; includes some of the popular chord progression sequences in all the modern scales and modes; get chord progressions for piano, acoustic guitar, and power chords; teaches user how to play each of the listed chords in the selected sequence for the particular musical instrument; build own chord progressions with a step by step process; save work; basic level songwriting application; plays the progressions in a loop and can be used as a backing-track tool; jam on the backing track of choice; (iOS 2.2 or later; Android 2.3 and up).
