Today's app is the Guitarist app:

Guitarist (http://moocowmusic.com/OtherApps/index.html) Innovative guitar simulator; record and save songs for later playback; fretboard scrollable up to the twenty-first fret; display between three to ten frets on-screen; record two guitars, rhythm and lead, each with its own effects, into one song; innovative guitar interfaces; pitch bend by dragging strings; tilt for WahWah and Whammy effects; choice of acoustic and electric patches available; experienced players can use the app on the road to experiment with chord progressions and record riffs or solos on a musical notepad; novices can program in existing tablature and chords to popular songs and then give performances to their friends; features a selection of guitar interfaces that have been especially tailored to the iPhone; Manual Fret Guitar is an emulation of a real guitar; fret and strum chords or slide solo notes; Hammer-On Guitar assists playing by allowing user to concentrate on fretting notes; press on a fret to instantly play the note; allows complex solos to be played at speed; the full twenty-one frets and open string are available; The Tab Guitar removes the concept of fretting strings, allowing the user to concentrate on plucking notes; songs are pre-programmed into the Tab Guitar, and then played back live by tapping or strumming at the pickup; uses standard guitar notation tablature; find tablature to almost any song on the Internet and use the Tab Guitar to play songs live; Tab Guitar can be used as a songwriting tool with eighteen of the most common chord types across all keys accessible with a finger-press; can program in own chord pattern via a representation of the fretboard; program in complex chord progressions and then strum them back live at full speed; The Scale Guitar allows the user to play runs through a large number of musical scales in any key; both the key and scale can be changed at any time and the scale can be played by running a finger up and down the guitar neck; Scale Guitar can be used as a live performance instrument as well as a useful teaching aid by displaying the notes in each scale and key; does not support tuning for left-handed playing; (iOS 3.0 or later).
